The award-winning OASIS Kinetic Pergola, based on Denvelops' patented Hybrid TexTILES® technology, has received the 2026 Delta Gold Award—the highest distinction in Spanish industrial design—for redefining dynamic shading systems through innovation, engineering and sustainability.
Denvelops, in collaboration with Eurecat, has been awarded the 2026 Delta Gold Award, the highest honour of the Delta Industrial Design Awards, presented by ADI-FAD, Spain’s leading institution for industrial design.
The project was submitted under the name OASIS, an innovative kinetic pergola designed to transform the way public spaces provide shade and comfort. Built on Denvelops’ patented Hybrid TexTILES® technology, the OASIS Kinetic Pergola is a lightweight, modular and dynamic architectural system that naturally responds to wind and sunlight without motors or complex mechanical devices.
This recognition acknowledges years of research, engineering and product development carried out jointly by Denvelops and Eurecat, positioning OASIS among the most innovative architectural products in Spain.

Spain's Highest Industrial Design Recognition
Established in 1961, the Delta Awards are Spain’s most prestigious industrial design awards. Organised by ADI-FAD, they recognise products that stand out for their innovation, functionality, manufacturing quality, sustainability and positive social impact.
Receiving the Delta Gold Award 2026 places the OASIS Kinetic Pergola among the country’s most significant industrial design achievements and confirms the international potential of a technology developed in Catalonia.
Why did the OASIS Kinetic Pergola win the Delta Gold Award?
According to the jury, OASIS successfully reinterprets the traditional festive banners commonly found in Mediterranean towns and villages, transforming this cultural inspiration into a contemporary architectural solution that combines identity, movement, engineering and urban design.
The project creates a unique urban shading experience through elegant moving elements that generate constantly changing patterns of light and shadow, enriching public spaces while enhancing user comfort.
The jury also highlighted the system’s passive kinetic behaviour, which enables the structure to adapt naturally to wind conditions without motors or complex mechanical systems. This intelligent engineering solution demonstrates how movement can become an architectural feature while maintaining simplicity, durability and energy efficiency.
In addition, the jury recognised the project’s outstanding design quality, refined detailing and innovative integration of tradition, sustainability and advanced engineering into a single architectural product.
Innovation Through Collaboration
The OASIS Kinetic Pergola is the result of a close collaboration between Denvelops and Eurecat, combining expertise in industrial design, advanced materials, mechanical engineering, digital manufacturing and parametric architecture.
Together, both organisations have developed an innovative kinetic pergola system that addresses some of today’s biggest urban challenges by improving outdoor comfort, reducing material consumption and creating more sustainable public spaces.
The patented Hybrid TexTILES® technology enables lightweight, modular and fully demountable structures that naturally interact with environmental conditions while offering exceptional architectural freedom.

A New Generation of Kinetic Pergolas
Originally conceived to redefine urban shading and improve the quality of public spaces, OASIS has now been recognised with the 2026 Delta Gold Award as one of Spain’s most outstanding industrial design innovations.
This prestigious distinction represents a major milestone for Denvelops and Eurecat and reinforces their commitment to developing groundbreaking architectural technologies that combine beauty, engineering excellence and environmental responsibility.
From the OASIS Ephemeral Shade Competition to the Delta Gold Award
The story of OASIS Kinetic Pergola began several years ago with the OASIS – Ephemeral Shade project, developed for the BIT Habitat innovation programme promoted by Barcelona City Council.
The competition challenged multidisciplinary teams to rethink temporary urban shade solutions capable of improving thermal comfort and enhancing the quality of public spaces during the hottest months of the year. Denvelops, together with Eurecat and its project partners, responded with an innovative concept that combined lightweight construction, passive movement and advanced engineering to create a completely new architectural experience.
Rather than designing a conventional canopy, the team envisioned a kinetic pergola capable of interacting naturally with wind and sunlight, generating ever-changing patterns of shade while reducing material consumption and eliminating the need for motors or energy-intensive systems.
The success of the OASIS Ephemeral Shade proposal became the foundation for the continued development of Denvelops’ patented Hybrid TexTILES® technology. What began as an urban innovation project for the City of Barcelona has now evolved into an internationally recognised architectural system, culminating in the 2026 Delta Gold Award, Spain’s highest distinction in industrial design.

Looking Ahead
For Denvelops, the Delta Gold Award 2026 represents much more than an award—it validates a vision that has guided the company since its foundation: developing hybrid architectural systems capable of integrating innovation, engineering, sustainability, movement and emotion into a single product.
With the OASIS Kinetic Pergola, Denvelops continues to push the boundaries of kinetic architecture, dynamic façades, architectural shading systems and lightweight construction, opening new possibilities for architects, designers and cities around the world.
